A new story today on MSNBC reported that Spirt Airlines (out of Florida) will start to charge for ALL checked luggage starting this summer!

If the writing is now not on the wall.... we are not sure when it will be. In our opinion, we should consider this the impitous for the larger airlines to follow suite.

MSNBC reported on yet another blow to us travelers.... PAYING EXTRA for your luggage to travel with you...

If new baggage fees just announced by British Airways take hold across the industry, you may want to find out. According to breaking-news reports, British Airways (BA) will begin charging coach-class passengers extra fees to check a second bag starting Tuesday, February 13. The fees range from $59 on domestic flights within the U.K. to a whopping $235 on long-haul international flights.

So now not only can you have lost luggage, you can pay extra and have it lost (latest government statistics report that U.S. airlines mishandled more than 4 million bags last year!)
